A Thank You and Apology to Replacement Refs

I am being sincere here when I say thank you to the replacements referees in the NFL.  Thank you because you have one of the hardest jobs in the world right now.  You are under the national spotlight and placed there because the NFL owners and regular NFL refs cannot agree on terms because of their shared greed.

Thank you for stepping up where others decided not too.
Thank you for being willing to stick your neck out there in front of the nation.
Thank you for knowingly being over your head but still showing up.
Thank you for keeping the game I love still on TV.
Thank you for doing all you can to call a fair game and  keeping the players as safe as you can.

Let me also apologize.  As a fan I do get upset when calls do not go the way it looks like they should.  I get angry and that is because I am passionate about my team.  But I realized this morning that I should not be angry at you and I take for granted you are doing the best you can.

I apologies for holding you to a standard you do not qualified for.
I apologies for yelling at the TV, which I am sure you can hear there on the field, because of a bad call because I have the pleasure of sitting at home, watching replays, and listening to the announcers.
I apologies for the fans, players and coaches who get so caught up in the moment because they do have so much on the line and yell at you.  They should remember they need to yell at the owners and refs that should be on the field.

I know this may not mean much but as a fan of the NFL please accept my apologies and truly heart felt thanks.  If it wasn't for you I would not have games to watch and I think many people forget that.

NFL Owners and Refs, let your greed go and for the sake of the game, get back to work!
