Happy Thanksgiving

Today is turkey day.
A day to be spent with family and friends.
A day to watch football and experience all the flavors of the bounty in front of us.
A day to celebrate the survival of the settlers who came and put their lives on the line to start a new life in a new place.
A day when we take for granted what we have.
A day to remember the Native Americans who taught the Pilgrims how to survive.
A day to feast.
A day to sleep.
A day to laugh.
A day to attempt to put all the family stuff behind us to survive the day.
A day when special recipes are made.
A day when Christmas music can legally start playing.
A day to plan for tomorrow's plunder.
A day to mourn those family members who join the meal only in spirit.
A day to thank God for all our blessings.
Today is Thanksgiving. Happy Turkey Day.
