2007, my year in review

Looking back on the year, it has been quite a year. For me and my family it has been a year of transition. In the beginning of this year we knew we were putting our name on the move list and in the middle of the year we moved to my present appointment. It is a huge change of pace from my last one but it is breath of fresh air.

This past year my son has grown from being four months to sixteen. He can now walk, talk gibberish and make me laugh so hard I pee my pants. My wife has worked hard at being a wonderful mother and to find new employment at our new location. Transition, transition, transition.

In 2017, when I turn forty, I wonder what I will look back at 2007 and think about. The wonderful new parsonage we live in? The people we had to say goodbye to in Charlotte? How I wish my son could have stayed that age? How this year started my true pursuit into forming who I am as a pastor, a church leader, and minister?

However I look back, 10 years from now, I know I am looking forward to the future, for God has many wonderful things planned for me, my family and my congregation. Welcome 2008!
